So I bought a Roc n Soc nitro with a backrest. Man does that feel good. Especially on a certain part of my body.

Takes up a bit too much room, and costs too much, but I don't care!

i always had good posture - then i bought a pearl throne with backrest - very comfortable but the worst thing i ever bought - my posture has gone terrible - sounds stupid but take the back thing away and i have to keep reminding myself to sit up straight. i have now removed the backrest!!

I'll have to watch that -- my posture is normally pretty good -- but I find myself slumping and/or leaning too forward when I play. I am hoping that the backrest will work against both of those problems. But, I will be paying attention.

    Yoga..

It's the best for straight backs. it helps posture, even during athletic activities like drumming.

There's also a lot to be said for setting your gear up so you don't have to reach for anything...
